Spectacular Ancient Tall Gandharan Kushan Period Figure Statue 2nd-3rd Century AD

Offered is a magnificent ancient gray schist Gandharan figure statue belonging to the Kushan period, 2nd to 3rd century AD, depicting in finest detail the full body of possibly a Bodhisattva dressed in a flowing sanxhati robe with the drapery falling in multiple elegant folds, decorated with a torc and beaded necklace, a beaded headdress, standing tall on a symmetrical floral decorated pedestal, situated on a custom made black wood base.
Although the Kushan empire was determined to reign Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, but for the unique style and artwork of this magnificent statue, belonged to the Gandhara region which is the northwestern region of Pakistan, around Peshawar of today.
