Offered is a magnificent Persian miniature by the Persian artist Jabar Beyk. This lovely miniature has been done in the Safavid style of painting, (a dynasty that ruled Persia from 1502 to 1736), following very fine details and warm toned colors on faces, attires, and background.

A beautiful young lady and her lover are depicted in this fine Persian miniature, one holding a glass and bottle of wine and one glancing through his book of poetry. This scene was inspired by the poems of Hafez, the Persian poet of the 14th century (solar year) famous for his lyrics of joy, passion, wine, and divine love. Hafez’s poems are regarded as a pinnacle of Persian literature and are to be found in the homes of most people in Iran and Persian speaking communities.
This stunning Persian miniature is a precious art piece from early to mid 1900s having the signature of its artist, Jabbar Beyk on the bottom left.
The miniature is framed with utmost care to a golden finish frame, matching the style of the painting.
