Offered is a magnificent rare, antique Movado Swiss pocket watch in 14 karat yellow gold, manufactured in 1910, with 15 jewels, 4 adjust, the engraving marks of “MOVADO, Surety, Expositions Universelles, Paris 1900, Liege 1905, GRAND PRIX, Avec Felicitations du Jury, Bruxelles 1910” on the interior section, in mint shape (the exception of a few hairline scratches to due its age), in excellent working condition, and fabulous engraved floral designs on the both covers.
Movado is a Swiss watchmaker best known for its Museum Watch. Designed in 1947 by Bauhaus-influenced artist Nathan George Horwitt, the watch dial has a very simple design defined by a solitary dot at 12, symbolizing the sun at high noon. It was first made by Vacheron & Constantin-Le Coultre Watches,Inc. and later produced by Movado.
