ANTIQUE CIVIL WAR PERIOD BRITISH MILITARY PERCUSSION CARBINEĀ 

An antique composite Civil War Period British Military percussion carbine, circa. 1840-1850 utilizing older 3rd model East India Company pattern Brown Bess flintlock parts. Lock is marked at the tail of lock plate with the East India Company ‘HEART’ logo and the date of ‘1800’ and the remnants of what appears to be ‘MANTON’ (contractor) in front of hammer.

The two-piece stock is sound with scratches and dings from years of service. 27″.75 cal. barrel. Steel and brass furniture. 42.75″ overall. It is known that many weapons and parts were imported for the War effort by the North and the South.
