Offered is a Henryk Winograd war plaque depicting in high relief and amazing detail the death of General Sedgwick in the battle of Spotsylvania on May 21, 1864, all masterfully featured on a silver layer mounted on a base.

The Battle of Spotsylvania Court House was fought May 8, May 21, 1864 as part of Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant’s 1864 Overland Campaign of the American Civil War.

This magnificent war plaque is .925 silver, in excellent condition, marked and copyrighted by Henryk Winograd, the master of silversmith and repoussé as “©1996 HW 925”.

This beautiful piece measures 7.5 inch (19 cm) x 6 inch (15 cm).
